As a line hanger, you will you will be handing parts to prepare them for the coating division. You can advance by gaining new skills and working in other departments or by being promoted into a leadership role.

Starting Pay Rate: $23.40/hour plus shift premiums

Responsibilities
What will you be doing:
Read orders and locate breakdowns before the production shift starting
Organize daily requirements for optimum product flow and balance production for each area
Communicate with Lead Hands to plan priorities and colour requirements as per schedule
Organize sequence of orders for hanging
Hang product to maximize line space and efficient flow
Apply appropriate identification to products
Count parts prior to hanging and notify lead hands of any discrepancy
Lift and hang large or awkward products in a safe and efficient manner using a helper
Review with the Supervisor if there are any doubts on weight or space limits
Update orders after hanging
Leave appropriate space on the line to allow for change-over, rework, or other requirements when needed
Burn hooks using the Hook Burning oven
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Who are we looking for:
Ability to read blueprints and data sheets
Ability to work with power hand tools effectively (i.e. cordless drill)
Strong organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Attention to detail is critical
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Physically fit for heavy lifting of >35 pounds
