Responsibilities
As a heavy equipment mechanic for this great company located in Bracebridge, a normal day would include:
- equipment maintenance: Inspect, service, and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment, including earth-moving, compaction, and aerial equipment
- repairs: diagnose equipment malfunctions and make the necessary repairs to ensure they're in optimal working condition
- performance testing: test repaired equipment to ensure they meet performance standards
- documentation: maintain thorough and timely documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders
- safety: adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
Who is the perfect match for this position?
- mechanical experience: minimum of 1 year of heavy equipment mechanical experience (Telehandlers, Boom lifts, Scissor lifts, Air compressors)
- tool set: you should have a complete set of tools or be working on building one
- technical skills: understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools
- mechanical knowledge: proficiency in diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors
- adaptability: flexibility to manage and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- problem-solving: excellent problem-solving skills to tackle equipment challenges
- independence: self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- pride in work: take pride in your work and maintain high-quality standards
