Schedule: Fly-in/Fly-out 28/10
Location: Northern Quebec

Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities of the general supertendant:
- Oversee and coordinate all construction activities, ensuring they align with project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with the project manager to ensure adherence to plans, quotes, and timelines.
- Optimize work methods to enhance team productivity.
- Ensure quality standards are met for materials and execution, in line with project specifications and contract requirements.
- Participate in site meetings and coordinate with subcontractors.
- Assist the project manager with project purchasing and procurement.
- Monitor work progress and quality regularly, ensuring compliance with plans.
- Manage equipment maintenance (requests, usage, upkeep).
- Supervise subcontractors, draft contracts, and approve work statements.
- Oversee personnel and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Lead internal team meetings and keep staff informed of project updates.
- Ensure site safety through regular checks and inspections, conducting bi-weekly safety meetings or when major personnel changes occur.
- Address non-compliant operations and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Report on project progress, budgets, and any changes to the site.
- Propose improvements to enhance team efficiency.
- Travel and live on various project sites as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
For this General Superintendent role, the following skills are required:
- 5 years of experience as a General Superintendent
- Strong on-site construction experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and priority management skills
- Leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to provide quality, health, and safety training
- Willingness to stay for extended periods on remote or isolated construction sites
