About the Job:
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $21-$24/hour (based on experience)
Location: South Edmonton
Assist welders with various tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.
Previous shop experience is a must!
Knowledge of welder helper duties is essential.

Responsibilities
- Assist welders in preparing materials, setting up equipment, and cleaning work areas.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from worksites.
- Operate hand and power tools for cutting, grinding, and other pre-welding tasks.
- Perform basic material preparation tasks such as deburring, sanding, or cleaning metal surfaces.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Monitor inventory of materials and report shortages to supervisors.
- Support general labor activities, including lifting, moving, and setting up components.
- Inspect and maintain welding tools and equipment as directed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a welding or laborer role is an asset but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn welding techniques.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to [insert weight] lbs.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
