Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
Manage fleet scheduling, coordination, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with National Safety Code standards and company policies.
Lead with a focus on continuous improvement, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma principles to standardize processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive impactful changes.
Track, interpret, and leverage KPIs to ensure optimal performance across fleet operations. Understand which KPIs matter most, and devise actionable plans to improve key metrics, driving both cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Supervise a team of 8 drivers and 5 warehouse / yard personnel, providing training on safety, compliance, and operational standards. Cultivate a culture that promotes accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Build and maintain vendor relationships, manage service level agreements, and oversee fleet expenditures for cost efficiency.
Qualifications
What you bring:
Minimum of 3 years of management experience, including leading teams, and process improvement.
Valid and current Class 1 Drivers License
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to motivate teams, hold employees accountable, and improve performance.
Experience in manufacturing or related industries preferred; logistics experience alone is not sufficient.
Solid understanding of data-driven decision-making and warehouse management systems.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is an asset. A post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent communication and team-building skills.
