Responsibilities
In this Financial Analyst role located in downtown Toronto, you be responsible for:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on AR aging, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and payment trends to identify opportunities for improving cash flow.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing clients by analyzing financial statements, payment histories, and market conditions to minimize credit risk.
- Develop and implement strategies for timely collections, reducing overdue accounts, and minimizing bad debt write-offs.
- Prepare regular AR reports, including aging analysis, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis, and present findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with the AR team to streamline billing, invoicing, and collection processes, and recommend system enhancements for improved efficiency.
- Work closely with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve billing issues, disputes, and discrepancies, ensuring a smooth order-to-cash process.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling related to AR, providing insights into revenue cycles and cash flow implications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable.
Qualifications
This Financial Analyst role located in downtown Toronto requires the following:
- Minimum College degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance. Working towards a professional designation is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in finance and or accounting as an analyst.
- Strong background in AR is highly ideal for this role.
- Experience working with Accounting ERP like MS Dynamics or SAP is a great asset.
- Experienced working in a similar industry is a great asset.
