Responsibilities
- Reconcile and analyze all general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries, and make month-end entries.
- Prepare inventory reports and reconcile movements.
- Verify cost standards in collaboration with the Assistant Controller.
- Perform bank reconciliations for several companies and currencies.
- Perform profitability analyses.
- Reconcile sales and purchasing journals with the general ledger.
- Contribute to data accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in the preparation of reliable and timely monthly financial statements.
- Manage monthly GST/QST returns and payments, corporate income tax instalments and withholding tax payments.
- Assist the Finance Director and prepare schedules for the annual closing.
- Participate in audits (year-end audit, sales audit and government audit).
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in various projects as required.
Qualifications
- CPA title is required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with full cycle accounting
- Bilingual in French and English, both oral & written
- Experience inhard goods or manufacturing is an asset
- Good knowledge of ASPE and GAAP
- Good Excel skills (Pivot table & VLOOKUP)
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
