A well-known and reputable equipment rental company in Ottawa is seeking a talented and ambitious Forklift Mechanic to join their team.

Permanent position
Hours: Monday - Friday from 12pm-8:30pm (onboarding/training will be a day shift until you are able to work independently on the evening shift)
Salary: $32-$47

Responsibilities
As a Forklift Mechanic for this great company located in Ottawa, a normal day would include:
- completing preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing power material handling equipment
- handling, maintaining, and repairing battery and chargers
- logging and reporting using CMMS
- adhering to health and safety standards and regulations

Qualifications
Who is the perfect match for this position?
- trade school education preferred
- 2-5 years of experience working as a mechanic with electrical equipment experience (forklifts, aerial lift equipment)
- automotive mechanic (310s), aerial mechanic and/or heavy equipment mechanic experience
- knowledgeable in hydraulics, electric (AC/DC systems), mechanical components of rolling equipment
- have own set of basic tools
- team player, creative, autonomous
