Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Excel Expertise:
Develop, enhance, and maintain sophisticated Excel-based tools, leveraging advanced techniques such as VBA, Python, and macros.
Strong expertise in VBA, Python, Excel Macros, etc. as primary developing tools
Design and implement data models, templates, and automation to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
Analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights and summaries.
Implement quality control and data validation measures.
Power BI:
Create, develop, and manage interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI.
Ensure reports are optimized for performance and provide meaningful insights for decision-making.
Design, build, and manage interactive dashboards, reports and data visualizations in Power BI.
Optimize Power BI reports for performance and scalability.
SharePoint:
Serve as a proficient SharePoint user, capable of creating and managing SharePoint sites, document libraries, and workflows.
Facilitate seamless collaboration by organizing and maintaining content in SharePoint.
Act as a power user to develop user-friendly solutions for team collaboration and process improvement.
Ensure secure and organized storage of critical documents and reports.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Provide training and technical support to stakeholders on Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint tools.
Process Enhancement:
Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and tools.
Support ongoing enhancements to existing Excel-based tools and other business-critical systems.
Work closely with our application solution architects, data scientists and data engineering teams to develop Excel-based and BI solutions, enhance and/or define new data integrations and/or modelling efforts.
Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues for the deployed solutions.
Generate ad-hoc data analysis utilizing Power BI, R, Python, Excel, and/or other tools.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Data Analytics or a related field of study.
4+ years’ experience providing IT Business Intelligence solutions related to MS Excel, Power BI and analytics engineering.
Proven expertise in advanced Excel, including VBA, macros, and other advance functionalities, including PivotTables, Power Query, etc.
Strong experience in Power BI for creating reports, tools, and visualizations.
Hands-on experience as SharePoint power user, with the ability to create and manage sites effectively.
Data profiling, and discrepancy analysis.
Experience building tabular data models in Excel, Power BI and/or Analysis Services.
Knowledgeable in Agile Software Development Methodology
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) along with strong planning and organizing skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in supply chain, supply planning, product/sourcing allocation, etc.
