We are currently seeking an Estimator to join a well-established construction company working on a variety of stimulating projects. You will be at the heart of the estimating process and will also have the opportunity to contribute to project management.

Position: Estimator
Schedule: Full-time, daytime hours
Salary: Between $70,000 and $90,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
As an Estimator, your main responsibilities will include:
Performing quantity take-offs using the company’s standard forms.
Analyzing subcontractor bids to assess their accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project requirements.
Preparing comprehensive cost breakdowns (labor, materials, equipment, subcontracting, markup, etc.).
Obtaining quotes and proposals from suppliers and external partners.
Participating in project feasibility analysis and proposing value-added options.
Working closely with design, architecture, and engineering teams.
Interpreting plans and specifications, even when they are incomplete or ambiguous.
Developing strategies to improve the efficiency of the estimating process.
Preparing analysis reports for post-mortem reviews of completed projects.
Maintaining the company’s estimating database up to date.
Contributing to effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
This Estimator role is for you if you have:
Between 3 and 7 years of experience in estimating, particularly in retail construction or similar projects.
A solid understanding of legal documents and forms related to construction.
Strong organizational skills and excellent priority management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A sharp eye for detail, a strong sense of rigor, and high reliability.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being autonomous.
Good adaptability in the face of change and unforeseen events.
