Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Conduct inspections to identify hazards and recommend solutions.
- Maintain records on waste management, air emissions, and water quality.
- Perform safety inspections and report unsafe conditions.
- Assist in EHS training and accident investigations.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports.
- Stay updated on EHS regulations.
- Safely handle hazardous materials.
- Support sustainability and waste reduction initiatives.
- Assist with WSIB claims and return-to-work programs.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in an EHS-related position, preferably within manufacturing.
- Professional EHS designation (e.g., EP, CRSP, AE, CET) is an asset.
- Knowledge of WSIB claims and Ontario health and safety regulations.
- Experience with the Environmental Protection Act.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Experience with employee wellness programs and safety culture enhancement.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
