Responsibilities
Define and implement data migration strategy and solutions.
Identify and qualify source data.
Lead data assessment and mapping activities, and architect the migration framework.
Provide technical leadership on the use of technology and tools to migrate legacy data.
Plan and manage technical developers.
Set up data staging environments for cleansing activities.
Lead the Data Management Workstream.
Create Data Strategy, Data Cleansing, Data Migration/Conversion Strategy, Data Volume Management Strategy and all data plans.
Work with the SI, Leads, and internal staff to define the data migration strategy & data migration tools.
Work with SI to develop ETL transformation/enrichment programs and schemas.
Outline data cleansing according to business logic.
Oversee data migration, verification, and testing.
Work with Leads and internal staff to extract data from legacy systems.
Ensure tools and processes developed by SI are implemented and maintained.
Develop Data Volume strategy with SI (configures archiving objects, deletion jobs)
Work with Business Data Owners (Data Custodians) to define dataset structure and its data usage.
Create Master Data change processes and tools with business.
Ensure Master Data Management satisfies business strategy and provides support to data management improvement initiatives.
Create and enforce Master Data Management policies and procedures.
Provide requirements to Master data governance strategy/plan.
Define policies and tools for master data management processes.
Define security standards and measures for data security
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
10+ years of experience working in data migration projects in technically complex enterprise environments
5+ years experience as an Enterprise Data Architect
Expert knowledge of Data Architecture and techniques, data management, data integration and data quality platforms and tools
Expert knowledge in at least one enterprise ETL tool
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple non-technical terms
Ability to adapt to change and work in a team environment
Ability to lead a team of data analysts
Experience with communicating and presenting to senior executive management
5+ years experience developing and implementing standards, principles, guidelines, strategies and roadmaps for Master Data Management (MDM)
Excellent customer service skills
Desired Experience and Skills:
Experience with establishing a data migration strategy related to SAP S4/HANA migration
