The Engineering Project Manager must demonstrate leadership, be resourceful, and have excellent communication skills in both French and English.
Working as an Engineering Project Manager for our two plants (Laval and Montreal) will enable you to balance your family life with your personal activities, since the schedule is flexible.
The schedule is from Monday to Friday
Start times can vary between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. In general, employees work from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for :
- Preliminary design with Autocad for, among other things, equipment layout;
- Present projects and hold follow-up meetings with collaborators and customers;
- Analyze project return on investment;
- Analyze the health and safety impact of a project and ensure that the necessary measures are taken to eliminate hazards;
- Draw up estimates, manage project invoicing and cost controls;
- Establish and monitor work schedules;
- Coordinate project implementation, including follow-up with various contractors;
- Obtain bids from suppliers and recommend selection of those best meeting objectives;
- Participate in project preparation for approval;
- Plan implementation phases and ensure compliance in cooperation with production, quality assurance, maintenance and other stakeholders;
- Participate in contract negotiations;
- Carry out projects in our 2 plants (Montreal, Laval);
- Ensure that the actions taken in this function support the manufacture of products in compliance with the quality and food safety criteria defined by the company;
- Ensure compliance with SQF food safety code requirements, and report any food safety issues to authorized personnel.
Qualifications
What is expected of the project manager:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
- Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers;
- Experience in project management in the building industry;
- Knowledge of building mechanics;
- PMI/PMP training an asset;
- At least 2 years' experience in the agri-food industry, an asset;
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, Autocad, Interal, microsoft project;
- Ability to manage several projects at once;
- Strong sense of planning and organization;
- Enjoys challenges, is detail-oriented and able to work under pressure;
- Bilingual: French and English (spoken and written).
