Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment and infrastructure management processes.
Configure and manage EKS clusters, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
Implement and manage Kafka infrastructure, ensuring reliable data streaming and processing.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
Implement security best practices across all stages of the development and deployment lifecycle.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans and implement remediation measures as necessary.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in DevOps technologies and practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on one of the following pillars: Security, Build Automation, EKS, or Kafka.
Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD and automation tools.
Solid understanding of Kubernetes and containerization technologies, particularly EKS.
Experience with Kafka for real-time data processing and streaming.
Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in a DevOps environment.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in Kubernetes, AWS, or security-related fields.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and PagerDuty or ELK stack.
Previous experience in a retail or e-commerce environment.
Strong experience with IaC
Experience with cloud cost optimization and resource rightsizing
Comfortable being in an on-call rotation
Experience with ArgoCD is a plus
Experience with operations as code is a plus
