Responsibilities
• Support the migration of laptops and desktops from Windows 10 to Windows 11
• Troubleshoot and resolve failed workstation deployments and installation issues
• Provide user support and guidance throughout the Windows 11 migration process
• Perform computer desktop builds, application installations, and troubleshooting
• Work effectively both independently and as part of the broader project team
• Follow established desktop management processes and contribute to process improvement where possible
• Communicate clearly and professionally with project team members and end users
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Experience in computer desktop building and support.
• Knowledge of SCCM functionality and its role in deploying Windows 11.
• Experience in application installation and troubleshooting.
• Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
• Can work evenings and weekends as required.
• Familiarity with Win10 and Win11, including knowledge and experience.
• Familiarity with desktop management processes
• Ability to troubleshoot installation issues
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Multi-factor authentication
• Great customer service attitude, ability to work with users that may be frustrated with the mobile phone wiping process
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience working with Microsoft best practices.
• Proven ability to work within standard procedures and methodologies, as wells as providing input into procedure and methodology improvement.
• Proven ability to communicate within the project team and user base, both verbally and in writing.
• Availability to travel to various sites in Edmonton, potentially Alberta (Canmore, Fort Sask)
• Flexibility to start work days earlier, potentially as early as 7 am
