Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on tariff classification, valuation, marking, and compliance with customs and government agency requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee the customs clearance process, ensuring accurate and timely tariff classifications.
- Assist customers with navigating CBSA requirements by preparing and submitting necessary documents, determining tariff and duty payments, and tracking shipments.
- Classify shipments, input data accurately, and make necessary corrections and adjustments.
- Address and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, ensuring full compliance with legal regulations.
- Process CBSA releases efficiently and accurately for ocean, air, rail, and highway shipments.
- Review invoices, manifests, and other supporting documents to ensure compliance with customs and corporate regulations.
- Prepare and execute billing for entry-related services.
- Collaborate with CBSA to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and other government agency requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) is preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Korean is preferred.
- A College or University degree in logistics, customs, supply chain management, or administration is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in customs brokerage is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to build and sustain client relationships.
