Management & Leadership
âś… Establish and maintain a structured department to achieve corporate goals.
âś… Lead, motivate, and train the credit and collections team.
âś… Set and track department performance metrics.
âś… Manage relationships with collection agencies and credit insurance providers.
âś… Collaborate with sales teams, agents, customer service, and external partners across North America and internationally.
Credit Operations & Risk Management
âś… Define and enforce credit policies and procedures, proposing updates when needed.
âś… Analyze and optimize credit insurance coverage, ensuring compliance with deadlines and renewals.
âś… Proactively assess customer credit files to minimize bad debt risks.
âś… Oversee the credit approval process, reviewing and making final decisions on credit recommendations.
âś… Monitor customer deductions, identifying areas for process improvement.
âś… Conduct timely follow-ups to ensure accounts receivable balances are accurate and up to date.
âś… Report delinquent accounts and payment non-compliance to management.
âś… Work with early payment service providers for major accounts.
âś… Assist in setting up and managing specialized accounts (e.g., Amazon, Shopify).
âś… Ensure compliance with vendor terms and agreements for major accounts.
âś… Provide clear, timely, and accurate reporting on credit and receivables.
âś… Support month-end and year-end financial reporting and analysis.
âś… Handle ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the consumer goods industry.
Experience managing international accounts and major retailers.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical.
Bilingual (English & French), written and spoken.
