This is a long-term ongoing opportunity for a designer in the Greater Toronto Area. The role can be completed remotely, with occasional visits to our client's office in Toronto. This will likely start as a part-time opportunity, with potential to evolve into full-time hours over time. The talent will work using their own computer, and software licenses.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop packaging concepts, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and market trends.
• Create dielines, mockups, and prototypes to test packaging feasibility and functionality.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and production teams to ensure packaging meets quality and cost requirements.
• Conduct research on industry trends, sustainability practices, and competitive packaging to drive innovation.
• Prepare print-ready files and work closely with vendors and manufacturers to ensure accurate production.
• Develop additional graphic design assets, including infographics, sell sheets, POP signage, brochures, and other marketing materials.
• Optimize packaging for cost efficiency, material sustainability, and user experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of printing techniques, materials, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Package Designer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and 3D rendering software.
• Strong understanding of dielines, typography, color theory, and branding.
• Experience working with various packaging materials and printing processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of sustainability trends and eco-friendly packaging materials is a plus.
• Experience in consumer goods, retail, or food packaging design.
