Responsibilities
- Open and close client files, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
- Maintain calendars, organize meetings, and manage bring-forward systems
- Format and edit legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and spreadsheets
- Coordinate the execution of documents and manage digital closing binders
- Conduct searches using BC Online, LTSA, and other legal databases
-Draft, edit, and send client invoices; follow up on outstanding balances
- Offer occasional coverage for reception or other legal assistants as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in a corporate or business law setting
- Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program
- Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office and legal tools like iManage, PC Law, Alf, BC Online, and DocuSign
- Collaborative, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work
