Responsibilities
-Manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
-Oversee costing, production, variable costs, and inventory accounting.
-Manage multi-currency transactions across multiple companies.
-Monitor cash flow, analyze loans, investments, and oversee foreign exchange contracts and risk management.
-Prepare monthly and quarterly bank reports, including borrower declarations.
-Prepare and file corporate tax returns, tax installments, GST/QST reports, NR4 compliance, and SR&ED-T661 reporting.
-Ensure compliance with corporate annual returns, payroll reports (T4, Relevé 1), and CNESST reporting.
-Prepare monthly financial statements, including analysis, comparisons, and ensuring proper cut-offs and accruals.
-Prepare year-end audit files for external auditors, ensuring accurate cut-offs and accruals.
-Manage inventory procedures and scheduling for smooth physical inventory and valuation.
-Oversee payables and receivables, manage credit reports, aging analysis, and supplier follow-ups.
-Conduct monthly inventory evaluations and analysis.
Supervise payroll functions, verify and approve payroll sheets.
-Conduct market evaluation for annual salary increases.
-Manage bonus calculations and distribution to eligible employees.
-Oversee group insurance administration and CNESST reporting.
-Lead, oversee, and mentor a team of five employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Excel
- Bilingual ( International exposure)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of costing, production and inventory accounting.
- Proficiency in multi-currency transactions and financial reporting.
