Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Controller is accountable for the general accounting, accounts payable and payroll operations of the company, production of periodic financial reports and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of the accounting service
- Develop and implement the company's policies, procedures and financial systems.
- Participate in the determination of the cost price.
- Issue accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
- Manage the annual budget process.
- Analyze variances and produce ad hoc management reports.
-Propose solutions to improve the various processes and internal controls in place.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of the financial information system.
- All other related tasks
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- CPA, an asset
- Bilingual environment
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Ability to manage time well, through tight deadlines and to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
