Responsibilities
Receipt and registration of invoices after necessary verifications and approvals.
Issue payments to suppliers with required authorizations.
Filing of accounts payable documents.
Verify and reconcile accounts payable statements.
Verify accounts payable, issue cheques, and forward for approval/signature.
Preparation and transmission of reports and government remittances, if required.
Reconcile daily cash entries.
Meet monthly financial reporting deadlines.
Apply administrative procedures and internal controls.
Reconciliation and control of general ledger (G/L) accounts, submitted to controller for approval.
Preparation of bank reconciliations.
Invoicing of miscellaneous expenses.
Record adjustment and end-of-period entries.
Update and close monthly accounting system.
Submission of monthly financial statements.
Collaboration with external auditors.
Qualifications
DEC in accounting/business administration
3 - 5 years of experience in similar role
Experience working with SAP or other ERP Systems (an Asset)
Proficient in excel
Bilingual (an Asset)
