Responsibilities
- Prepare and draft documents for commercial real estate transactions and commercial lending, including security and ancillary documents.
- Assist with due diligence searches and reporting for real estate transactions.
- Maintain efficient file management and ensure physical and electronic filing is organized and up to date.
- Coordinate meetings with clients and work collaboratively with other administrative departments.
Qualifications
- Legal Assistant or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on corporate commercial law, secured lending, and real estate.
- Experience with 3E, InTapp, iManage, and DocuSign preferred.
- Strong understanding of BC Land Title Office registration requirements, including e-filing.
- Proficiency with online databases such as BC Online, LTSA, and municipal tax searches.
