CNC and Manual Machinist

A strong candidate will demonstrate a solid ability to:

-Programming and running CNC Machining Centre in custom machine shop
- Past experience working on Manual CNC Machines
- Draw and generate programs with MasterCAM and Solidworks
- Be fluent with interpreting drawings/ blueprints
- Select and setup the appropriate machines and perform quality control
-Maintaining equipment and adhering to safety and quality regulations

-$30-$36/hourly depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Draw and generate programs with MasterCAM, as well as make programs on CNC controller on shop floor
- Be fluent with interpreting drawings/ blueprints
- Select and setup the appropriate machines and perform quality control


Qualifications
-Machinist Trade Certificate (required)
-5 years experience in the field as a machinist
-5 years experience using/programming manual, semi-automatic or automatic tools and machines
-Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and manuals
-Mastercam experience is necessary
-knowledge of 2D/3D programming is an asset
-Highly proficient on manual lathes and milling machines
