Responsibilities
• Deploy, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters in both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Monitor and optimize cluster performance, health, and capacity.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, including encryption and patching.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and updates using Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.
• Execute disaster recovery plans and ensure high availability of services.
• Diagnose and resolve cluster and application issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 3 Years of Experience directly managing Kubernetes environments
• 3 Years of experience managing a production service in an enterprise using cloud-based infrastructure and/or using Infrastructure as Code.
• 3 Years of Experience supporting Linux operating systems
• 3 Years of Experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting
• 2 Years of Experience with replicating environments (either manually or through Infrastructure as code)
• 2 Years of Experience working in or for the public sector
Desirable Qualifications:
• 1 Year of Experience as a DevOps Specialist supporting the continuous delivery of custom-built solutions
• 2 Years of Experience directly managing Red Hat OpenShift environments
• 1 Year of Experience in the Government of Alberta environment or an environment of equivalent size and complexity.
• 2 Years of Experience with Disaster Recovery architectures, processes, and tests
