Our client, an established multi-trade contractor with projects in the commercial, industrial, water and wastewater fields, is looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join their team. This position would be located in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. This position works closely with and reports directly to the Chief Estimator. Additionally, this position works collaboratively with other team members to prepare competitive bids, analyze costs, and support the overall estimating process for a variety of construction projects across Ontario.

Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs complete with costing
- Prepare estimates for all aspects of civil works
- Prepare and expedite subtrade and supplier RFQ’s
- Determine scope of work for all trades
- Pre-tender site visits
- Preparation of tender documents
- Submit tenders
- Assist with prequalification documents
- Assist with purchasing / awarding sub-trades
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in ICI sector is required
- Must be organized and have a high attention to detail
- Must have the ability to review and understand specifications and drawings
- Be able to participate in a fast paced, time sensitive environment for tender closings
- Experience with water and wastewater treatments plants is an asset
