Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the key responsibilities are:
- Manages the accounting activities
- Cashflow maintenance and bank reconciliation
- Prepare Financial Statements and Analysis
- Establish Budgets and forecasts
- Analyze variances
- Government remittances (GST, QST, CNESST)
- Work with accounting firm for year-end and tax returns
- Reporting and Invoicing for the Marine Navigation Services Fees
- Manages Vessels control spreadsheet
- Manage client, partnerships and subcontractors funds and accounting
- Prepare BOL and other documents, as required.
- HR Tasks (New employee files, payroll with external provider, Group Insurance administration)
Qualifications
Profile we are looking for:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, commerce, administration, management
- 5 years experience in a similar role in a small business environment
- English is mandatory, French functional level
- Experience in the transport Services industry (a strong asset)
- Experience with Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) would be an asset
