Responsibilities
Plan, facilitate and execute business system analysis activities including but not limited to, understanding the problem/opportunity, process mapping, defect analysis, requirements clarification, solution design and implementation. Acts as liaison between business, Product management and technology stakeholders. Rationalizes and understands how technology can solve business problems. Through adaptable planning and communication skills, they work collaboratively, negotiating requirements and priorities across multiple groups. Curiosity, creative problem solving, and teamwork are all essential for success in this role.
Plan, organize and facilitate business analysis activities such as understanding requirements, process definition, systems mapping, solutioning, implementation and functional test planning
Uses structured tools for analysis and presentation of concepts and models to support the business needs (requirements)
Understand business needs (functional requirements) and translate them into technical requirements (configuration)
Exercises influence of stakeholders with thoughtful and tactful communication to drive decisions
Owns solution design and related documentation
Owns non-functional/Technical requirements for the program
Participates in hands-on system configuration
Actively participates in testing phases throughout the project and support phases
Proficient with systems-thinking and able to articulate them to various groups across the organization
Aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with business stakeholders and Dev team
Effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders on business expectations and constraints
Plan and lead the creation of RFI/RFP documentation alongside business stakeholders
Work with external consultants, internal and external developers throughout the development and configuration cycles to ensure systems and modification meet business needs
Co-ordinate and support software releases and post deployment validations with both the business and internal/external technical teams
Support production issues as relate to application functionality, integrations, RCA and defects
Qualifications
Strong analytic thinking and applies varied techniques to support efficient requirements gathering.
Strong understanding of software development practices and project life cycles.
Demonstrated knowledge of one or more complex functional and integrated domains
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5+ years in a System Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role; 6+ years in IT
5+ years of experience in system configuration, administration and support
Background/Experience in a retail or supply chain environment is an asset
Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Working Experience with cloud-native technologies preferably AWS
Working Experience with SAFe/Agile project methodologies and DevOps team
Desired: Familiarity with DevOps practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
Looking for someone who has both hands-on system configuration and requirements analysis experience.
