Responsibilities
• Identify, gather, and prioritize business,
functional, and technical requirements from
stakeholders
• Identify and evaluate business processes,
workflows, and roadmaps
• Create and maintain data-driven reports to
support business decision-making
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and
communications with business stakeholders
• Create and maintain relevant documentation and
conduct knowledge transfer activities
Business Requirements & Documentation:
Collect and document business requirements using tools in use.
Work with business product manager to translate business strategies into actionable roadmaps for teams.
Work with business product manager to prioritize requirements based on business needs.
Work with Technology manager to prioritize requirements based on technical needs.
Document, analyze and convey requirements to development and QA team (includes Confluence documentation, Jira tickets, visual data representation, process flow diagrams etc.), ensure all use/edge cases are covered.
Project Support:
Work with PM to align scope and sequencing recommendations with business and technical stakeholders.
Lead Requirements and related reviews with development and QA team.
Utilize tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirements alignment sessions, manage Jira tickets workflow, hygiene, and track Epics from opening to closure.
Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies, such as backlog grooming, sprint refinement and planning sessions to finalize stories into actionable tickets for engineers etc.
Submit Vendor tickets (through support portal)
Support team in removing blockers.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Work with business stakeholders, technology teams, enterprise teams, and technology leaders to understand project vision and business needs.
Support tech partners with how product works from requirements/technical perspective
Production Support & Troubleshooting:
Help troubleshoot and be involved in the triage process.
Contribute to all areas of production support, including process creation, response, root cause analysis, and process refinement.
Apply in-depth knowledge of applications to drive resolution of cross-application troubleshooting or problem-solving across teams and systems.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Support QA in developing and documenting testing strategies and test cases for product development to ensure development delivered meets business requirements.
Assist in testing and participate in test phases prior to User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Update business specifications based on testing outcomes, prioritized defects, or post-release lessons learned.
Communication & Documentation:
Support communication efforts for application/system deployment.
Create diagrams and documentation for processes, including triage and JIRA workflows.
Document acceptance criteria for solutions to identified problems.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience may be considered. BA qualifications would be a plus.
Experience:
8-10 years of business analysis experience, preferably in inventory management, retail, or supply chain, with a focus on RFID.
8-10 years of experience following, participating, and supporting Agile or Scrum processes as a Senior Business Analyst.
Strong experience with requirements analysis for medium to large initiatives, preferably retail related.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with IT SDLC processes (both waterfall and agile).
Basic Experience or understanding of or with CI/CD pipelines, application performance engineering, monitoring, alerting, AWS services
Knowledge and usage of the tech stack including inventory management systems, Kafka, APIs and collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, and Miro.
High-level familiarity with observability tools, such as DataDog, PagerDuty, Splunk, and ServiceNow.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven facilitation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to be self-directed, proactive, and work with a sense of urgency.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity to deliver results.
Demonstrated experience making trade-offs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping end-user needs at the forefront.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong understanding of retail systems, including inventory management
Experience creating technical specifications and documentation for large, complex projects including workflows, wireframes.
Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.
Ability to challenge the status quo, champion change, and influence others to adopt new practices.
