Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Candidate must be able to calculate bend allowances of steel, aluminum and ss.
• Blueprint reading and understanding drawings
• Selecting tooling and sequencing multiple bends
• Load and unload machines.
• Perform minor maintenance in work area in accordance with company standards and
manufactures machine recommendations.
• Working with precision measuring tools – caliper, Tape measure, Height Gauges * * Measuring
and verifying parts after bending
• Loading and unloading trucks at the warehouse.
• Work closely with your fellow team members to build a cohesive and mutually respectful team
environment.
• Assist in other duties when required.
• Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to ongoing training for success in position
• Practice Safe work procedures at all times
• Attend safety and operational meetings as required
• Uses forklifts, cranes and wrapping machinery safely and correctly
Qualifications
• 2 years Previous experience in Brake Press operations in a Metal Fabrication shop necessary.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Possess some knowledge and ability to identify fabrication industry metals.
• Displays exceptional people skills and a can-do attitude.
• Utilizes effective oral communication and numeracy.
• Problem solving, job task planning and organizational skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and possesses manual dexterity.
• Follow and give oral and written instructions; maintains cooperative working relationships;
demonstrates sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population
• Possesses the ability to work on own and as part of a team.
• Forklift Certification would be an asset.
• Ensures attention to detail.
• Good Attendance record.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Class ‘G’ license is an asset.
• CSA Approved Steel-toed Footwear.
