We are looking for an Bilingual Showroom Associate who is passionate about learning sales and new products to work from this exclusive boutique environment in the East end of Ottawa. In this role, you'll b supporting the sales team in helping client realize their visions and projects. We are open to applicants with little sales experience who have a background in delivering a great customer experience, and shows a lot of interest in learning and development!
Advantages
- Salary between 55K-57K depending on experience
- No weekends, Monday to Friday schedule
- On-site in Boutique Showroom
- Typical hours between 8am-5pm, with the occasional 10am-7pm shift on a rotating basis
- 2 weeks vacation
- Medical, Dental, Insurance Benefits available after 3 months
- Profit sharing plan
- Possibility of commission on certain products
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with small projects and single item purchases, identifying their needs and making recommendations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships; ensuring expectations are met and exceeded, and that concerns and issues are addressed
- Provide products information, including details on special orders and products
- Process orders, quotes, and bids; following procedures and ensuring accuracy
- Follow up on bids and quotes in order to finalize sales
- Follow up on all client files, work closely with purchasing and manufacturers to ensure delivery and service in agreed timeframe
- Meet with representatives from different product manufacturers to obtain information on specific products
- Stay informed on company products, services, and offerings to be able to provide recommendations to clients
- Provide support to the Showroom Coordinator/Receptionist and the Sales Support Representatives
- Use creative problem solving to assist with issues
- Assist in maintaining the standards of the showroom
- Assist with needs as required by the Showroom Manager
Qualifications
- Fluent in French and English
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Great understanding of delivering an excellent client experience
- Tact, good judgement, creative problem solving
- Passion for learning and development
- High level of comfort with MS Office suite, ERP or Order entry systems
- Able to manage stress effectively and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass a criminal backcheck
