Responsibilities
As a Bilingual Operations Officer, your duties will include but not limited to:
●Prioritizing, processing, managing and monitoring day to day operations of the team efficiently
●Processing the issuance and amendment of Standby Letters of Credit and Demand Guarantees
●Participating in reporting/reconciliation tasks
●Assuring appropriate controls are in place to minimize risk
●Providing technical advice to clients/partners
●Adhering to company’s internal policies and regulatory guidelines
●Displaying strong process management skills
●Demonstrating basic understanding of Trade Finance and willing to learn ICC rules and regulations
●Delivering timely and efficient services as per Service Level Agreements
●Consistency & accuracy of the process
●Identifying/escalating potential risks and operational gaps;
●Ensuring due diligence is completed as part of all transactions
●Executing on ad-hoc requests
Qualifications
●1 year of trade finance
●Bilingual is a must
●Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
●Willingness to learn on a continuous basis
●Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
●Proven skills in providing excellent customer service and managing client relationships
●Teamwork oriented professional
●Completed Bachelor’s Degree
●Requires to be available during some Canadian Statutory Holidays on rotational basis in order to cover our multiple province holidays, US & UK business
●This position requires minimum of 12 months commitment to the role
Nice to have:
●Spanish
●AML
●Trade finance certification would be nice
●Nice to have CDCS or CSDG, but not mandatory
