As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in improving and optimizing Big Data systems that support business intelligence (BI) processes, enhancing the player experience, and driving business growth.
You will be responsible for designing, building, and improving ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to efficiently aggregate and move data. Your work will ensure that the data is both secure and usable in reporting and visualization tools, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and improve ETL pipelines to support efficient data aggregation and movement.
Implement and maintain processes to ensure data security and privacy.
Ensure that data is easily accessible and usable for reporting and visualization in tools such as Tableau, Looker, Meta, or PowerBI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective data integration and utilization.
Required Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in data science, engineering, or analytics roles.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, EMR).
Proficiency in Python and an Object-Oriented programming language.
Strong experience with databases and event-driven data.
Proven ability to handle large data volumes and optimize data flows.
Hands-on problem-solving approach and ability to thrive in complex environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s or PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with agile development practices and egoless programming.
Proficiency in Java and/or GoLang.
Experience with the Hadoop Ecosystem, including Spark, HDFS, Hive, Kafka, Sqoop, and HBase.
Familiarity with Luigi pipelines for moving data between HDFS and RDBMS.
Experience in mobile/social analytics and the mobile/social gaming industry (though candidates with experience in other industries are also encouraged to apply).
Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in data science, BI, and data management.
