Job Description:
Reporting to the Spooling Foreman, the Journeyman B Pressure Welder - Spooling plays a key role in the ALCO Production team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for welding piping components using positioners and flux core welding techniques (wire feed). We are looking for skilled welders who can meet our high production standards, including welding 80-100 FDI’s (Factored Diameter Inches) per day. All tools and coveralls will be provided.

Advantages
Wage: $44.98/hour, 1.5x OT, increasing to $48.20 after 3 months
Other Compensation: OT available on Fridays & Saturdays

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding procedure specifications.
Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, RMD).
Maintain good communication and ensure work is done efficiently with minimal supervision.
Perform duties as assigned by supervision, adhering to all safety protocols.
Lift up to 50 pounds as needed and work physically demanding tasks.
Work paid overtime as required.
Qualifications
Experience and Qualifications:
AB Journeyman Welder Certification with ABSA B-Pressure endorsement (Red Seal required if from another province).
Minimum of 5 years of experience welding SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and flux core welding (experience welding stainless steel is a plus).
Overhead crane experience and ability to work with spooling positioners.
Proficiency with RMD process is required.
Proven ability to weld 70-100 FDI’s per day.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
