Responsibilities
-Conduct product quality monitoring in the Distribution Centre
-Provide quality inspection reports as needed
-Work closely with production and operations staff
-Assist the Senior Quality Manager with food safety and GMP training
-Assist the Senior Quality Manager with internal audits
-Coordinate food safety documentation requests and ensure that all customer food safety platforms/web-portals
are up to date
-Communicate and co-operate with Growers, customers, drivers, and suppliers
Qualifications
-Education in Food Science, Agriculture or related field
-Strong understanding of SOP's, Pre-requisite programs, HACCP, GMP's
-Working knowledge of a GFSI accredited 3rd audit such as BRC or SQF
-Fast paced food industry experience an asset
-Inventory management systems experience an asset
-Physically capable to lift 50lbs as needed
-Willingness to be operate a forklift and become forklift certified an asset
-Ability to pass a criminal record check is required
