As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations team. Working closely with the Production Manager and Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and distribution, from planning and packaging to receiving, picking, and shipping.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with management to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality output
Supervise production planning, packaging, receiving, picking, and shipping activities
Support coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary actions for team members
Measure job performance based on service level efficiency and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities
-Oversee production inventory management by monitoring levels of raw materials, finished goods, and work in progress to support scheduling and customer sales, while minimizing inventory loss
-Develop and execute production schedules that optimize resource utilization and meet targets, collaborating with sales and procurement teams to address customer needs
-Assist in creating and managing Distribution Centre schedules, including production, shipping, and receiving, while coordinating with Procurement to secure raw materials for packaging
-Support managers in leading teams through coaching, training, and mentorship to achieve success
-Ensure accuracy and timeliness in receiving inbound goods and order picking, including proper completion of paperwork and communication with vendors
-Maintain health and safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation standards across all Production and Operations areas
Qualifications
-3+ years supervisory experience within a production or distribution environment
-Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes
-Strong problem solving skills
-Experience with food safety accreditation programs is considered an asset
-Strong aptitude for working within Microsoft 365
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
