My client in Old Montreal has a new role for an Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Assistant Controller are :
- Manage the complete accounting cycle and prepare financial statements for several entities;
- Prepare monthly financial analyses;
- reconcile and review cash positions
- work with the Controller on process improvement
- Assist in the preparation of year-end and audit files
- Provide support to the Controller in all ad hoc projects
Qualifications
Qualifications for this Assistant Controller role are as follows
- CPA or equivalent (strong asset)
- minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting firm or in an accounting/financial analyst role in a small or medium-sized company
- Knowledge of IFRS an asset
- French-speaking with functional English
