Advantages
Salary: $35/h
Contract: 6 months with with possible conversion into permanent role
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Training will be onsite. After that the role will shift to hybrid.
Responsibilities
Supports superior in planning and drafting purchase orders for sub-component purchases.
Prepares and follows up on R&D purchase orders
Prepares purchase orders on the computer system and sends a copy to the supplier;
Ensures that order levels are respected and that KANBANs are maintained;
Follows up with suppliers to avoid delays in order delivery and communicates with them to find out the reasons.
Follows up on incoming goods, verifications and problem-solving with suppliers;
Establishes non-conformity return procedures with suppliers and authorizes non-conformities to be returned to the supplier;
Informs superior of potential cost increases and/or supply problems;
Supports third-party suppliers and performs full-cycle PO management and follow-ups. Also supports Enabling Technology in its shipping
activities.
Creates and updates items in Great Plains, as well as creating bill of materials (BOM) for the Canadian and U.S. subsidiaries;
Performs inventory transfers and adjustments in the computer system;
Participates in annual and monthly inventory counts;
Produces expense report
Develops, maintains and periodically reviews departmental procedures, work instructions and quality records.
Takes or proposes measures to improve departmental efficiency.
Qualifications
ACADEMIC EDUCATION: DEC in administration or equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in procurement,
CURRENT KNOWLEDGE: Bilingual;
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
Knowledge of Great Plains.
PROFILE (SKILLS AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED) :
Problem-solving skills;
Good management of priorities;
Organized, methodical and rigorous in follow-up;
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously;
Good oral and written communication skills;
Good interpersonal skills;
