Responsibilities
- Optimize repair order flow and prioritize work to deliver exceptional customer service and meet deadlines.
- Hire, train, and motivate shop employees while providing counseling and overall support to technicians, welders, and general laborers.
- Inspect and ensure quality control of employees’ work, maintaining high standards of efficiency and repair quality.
- Manage production activities, repair schedules, and refurbishment operations to achieve shop goals and objectives.
- Monitor and assign tasks effectively, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Schedule shop employees and manage repair bay capacity, tools, and service equipment for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with key business functions, including finance, purchasing, and materials, to streamline invoicing, vendor payments, and accounts receivable.
- Oversee and update data in computerized workflow tracking systems for accurate process management.
Qualifications
- You have a minimum 5 years of management experience overseeing a team of at least 5 individuals
- You have a minimum of 10 years body shop experience. Preference to Bus or truck shops, car body shop managers are also welcome to apply
- 310T license considered an asset but not mandatory
- You have strong communication skills
- Proven experience approving payrol, scheduling vacation and other administrative tasks
- You are professional and are able to build a strong team atmosphere within the shop, you are a team player
