Responsibilities
- Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (ASPE and US GAAP), as required by the organization and its key stakeholders.
- Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to develop and maintain efficient consolidation tools, systems, and processes, ensuring that financial reporting (including budgeting and forecasting) aligns with ASPE and US GAAP, tax obligations, and internal reporting standards.
- Prepare detailed accounting analysis and documentation for complex topics, such as business acquisitions, adhering to both ASPE and US GAAP requirements.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements on a monthly basis, ensuring full compliance with ASPE and US GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual business plan statements, consolidating financial data according to ASPE and US GAAP standards.
- Support the reconciliation of consolidated financial results, ensuring alignment with management accounting reports presented to the Executive team.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate tax, profit-sharing, and transfer pricing adjustments for consolidation purposes.
- Generate comprehensive management reports and financial analysis, informed by the company’s quarterly forecasts and budget data.
Qualifications
- Completion of or in progress towards the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment.
- Experience in financial reporting
- Familiarity with financial consolidation software, such as Hyperion Financial Management, is an advantage.
- Proficiency in financial systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other common PC applications.
- Confidence and ability to work effectively with management and interact professionally with colleagues
