Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this Strategic Buyer position in Montreal:
-Evaluate and monitor order progress
-Assess market trends in the respective market
-Source new products and suppliers
-Manage purchases and track orders
-Communicate with clients and suppliers to resolve issues
-Update records and performance reports
-Place orders online or by phone
-Demonstrate proactivity, a sense of urgency, and attention to detail
-Collaborate closely with different departments
-Possess specific knowledge in one of the three available categories: Automotive, Office Supplies, Childhood Products
Qualifications
-Relevant degree or equivalent experience required
-Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience
-Experience in demand planning
-Bilingual
-Spanish is an asset
-Proficiency in computer tools
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
