Our client, located in Montreal, is looking to add an Accounts Payable technician to their growing team. In response to the company’s continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their head office team in Montreal. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and brings hands-on experience in managing AP operations — particularly with customs clearance invoices.

Responsibilities
Match, validate, code, and enter supplier invoices
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
Monitor due accounts and ensure timely payments
Process employee expense reimbursements
Prepare and execute payments (cheques, wires, etc.)
Reconcile supplier statements and handle vendor communications
Maintain and update vendor records
Support month-end closing procedures and reporting
Provide audit documentation when required
Create and manage Excel reports and tracking tools
Qualifications
College diploma in accounting or related field
At least 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
Exposure to major retail accounts (e.g., Walmart, Canadian Tire, Loblaws) is an asset
Familiarity with customs and brokerage invoices is a strong plus
Fast and accurate data entry skills
Strong communication skills
