Responsibilities
Assist with payroll transactions, report preparation, and journal entries.
Coordinate payroll data for subsidy claims and ministry reporting.
Reconcile bank accounts and verify transactions.
Prepare sales reports and various month-end reports.
Post journal entries for capital assets, depreciation, and inventory adjustments.
Prepare and verify month-end reports for sales tax, WSIB, EHT, and inventory provisions.
Support the preparation of external audit materials and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
Manage full-cycle accounting tasks, including AP/AR, and posting intercompany entries.
Assist with the month-end closing process and ensure timely financial reporting.
Execute and monitor compliance with accounting and reporting related procedures.
Qualifications
•Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on Excel.
•Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interpret and process both written and oral instructions effectively.
•Ability to manage varied workload with constantly changing priorities.
•Detail-oriented, organized and able to work effectively under pressure.
•Ability to independently define problems, collect data, establish facts and present practical solutions.
•Analytical and systematic thinking with ability to identify trends/connections and adjust approach accordingly.
•Results oriented with a focus on driving continuous improvements and efficiencies within the Finance function.
