Responsibilities
**Responsibilities of the Accounting Technician**
- Perform the complete accounting cycle, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements.
- Manage customer and supplier accounts, including invoicing, payments, and tracking collections.
- Prepare and submit tax reports (GST/QST, DAS, etc.) within the required deadlines.
- Participate in the preparation of budgets and the monitoring of financial forecasts.
- Ensure the management and updating of accounting records and financial files.
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Provide administrative and financial support to the team, including the production of reports and accounting analyses.
- Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and propose effective solutions.
- Stay up to date on accounting standards and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
-Experience in accounting/finance.
-Mathematical and logical deduction skills.
-Knowledge of Excel Software
-Functional English (an asset)
