Our client, a leader in their industry, is hiring an Accounting Manager to join their team in Burnaby. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller and supervise a team of 8 accountants. Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 8 members
- Prepare month-end inventory and intercompany account reconciliations (Loans, AR, AP)
- Reconcile related party transactions
- Compile and review monthly financial packages for Canadian and US entities.
- Generate and review financial statements for Corporate Controller and coordinate approvals with General Managers.
- Address financial statement queries from General Managers.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports and ad hoc reports as needed by Operations or Executives.
- Review revenue accruals, reconciliations, and tax filings (GST/PST).
- Provide ad hoc reports/information as requested by the Operational Controller, Director of Finance, or Executives.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- CPA designation
- 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience leading a team
- Multi-company exposure
- Autonomous and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
