Responsibilities
Monitor and manage daily data transmissions for third-party systems, ensuring EDI/API transactions are accurate and timely, with a focus on TMS systems.
Perform daily checks and balances to maintain data integrity for operational applications, enabling seamless exchange of critical business documents (e.g., invoices, purchase orders, shipping forms) between our company and 3PL partners within Blue Yonder (BY) and Oracle TMS (OTM).
Develop and maintain efficient management processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of EDI transmissions while collaborating with the Logistics Business Systems Manager and team.
Partner with 3PL and corporate IT teams to troubleshoot technical issues, taking corrective actions within SLAs to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth, on-time data transfers.
Track and report on EDI data compliance, ensuring secure and efficient data exchanges in line with industry standards and best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize the company’s investment in EDI technology and 3PL partnerships.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data transmissions, interchanges, and validation, providing insights that enhance merchandise flow management and operational cost efficiency within TMS.
Qualifications
3 years of experience in EDI and data transmissions, with a solid understanding of EDI protocols and compliance standards (must-have in logistics and TMS).
Technical systems knowledge, including:
Communication Protocols: Familiarity with FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) for secure EDI file transmissions.
Data Formats: Strong understanding of XML (Extensible Markup Language) and JSON (JavaScript Object Notation).
SQL Server: Proficiency in working with and querying databases to track transactions (Power BI, Access, SQL Server, and Agile methodologies).
EDI Standards: Knowledge of AS2 (Applicability Statement 2) and VAN (Value-Added Network).
Relational Databases & Tools: Experience in managing and querying databases for data tracking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to process large data volumes into meaningful insights.
High attention to detail and accuracy, with the capability to track and manage interconnected data across multiple applications.
Excellent organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and the ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners.
