Our client, a Schedule II bank affiliated with an international bank, is hiring a Branch Manager to build their first branch in the GTA in Thornhill. The Branch Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operations and growth of the branch and reporting to the bank's executive out of province. Daily duties include the expansion of customer base, deposit taking, consumer loan generation, compliance, budgeting, developing and implementing marketing strategies and business plans, and overall growth of the branch and its employees.
To qualify for this role, you must possess at least 5-7 years experience in a branch manager role of a Big Five Canadian or international bank, and you must be a motivated self starter with strong leadership skills and a vision that will help the branch grow. You must understand compliance regulations, client service, and banking products, and possess sales acumen to help build the bank's client base. In addition to these required skills, it is necessary that the incumbent be bilingual in both English and Mandarin.
