We are currently looking for a experienced Production Planner, for our client located in Ancaster, ON. Please note that this is a contract role for up to 6 months from the start date. Only candidates with relevant experience will be called. We appreciate your time for applying.

Shift - Monday to Friday
Time - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Location - Ancaster, Ontario. ( The company is not bus accessible, therefore own transportation is required)
Pay scale - between $65K to $70K ( based on experience)

Responsibilities
• Scheduling and maintaining the daily and weekly production plan for the bakery
• Creating and updating the production in MRP
• Supporting the delivery of the production plan
• Maintaining a current view of MRP for the 13 week rolling forecast production plan
• Provide daily fresh schedule for all departments
• Review previous day’s production and implement changes to the schedule as required
from the anticipated delay meeting
• Minimize product changeover by effective planning
• Responsible for any shorts, explanation is required daily
• Work closely with Purchasing, Production and Logistics to facilitate any emergency requests
• Maintain customer fill rate of 99.8% or better
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
• Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual
• Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
• Report any unsafe conditions, incidents or injuries to supervisor immediately
Qualifications
• Aggressive and tenacious
• Persistence
• Effective communicator
• Sense of urgency
• Team player
• Production planning experience
• College degree. diploma
• Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Use a computer keyboard and monitor
