Responsibilities
What will your days look like as a Mechanical Designer?
Provide design solutions for the engineering and design team.
Provide detailed designs using 3D design software, like Solidworks and AutoCAD.
Prepare 3d models and drawings. Perform design and detailing activities as required.
Work with production to solve design issues and implement new functionality.
Select components and work with customers as required to develop new concepts.
Prepare specifications and other related documentation.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a Mechanical Designer?
A degree in industrial design or a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering
5-10 years of related experience.
Experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD.
Proven experience in the packaging industry.
Detailed oriented and has problem solving capabilities are required.
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must be fluent in English spoken/written and have a functional spoken French. Must be able to effectively discuss designs and communicate concepts with other disciplines.
Able to prepare detailed technical documents.
Must be able to work with deadlines with minimum supervision.
Strong organizational skills.
Team-oriented individuals are required.
