Responsibilities
- Define scope, review findings, and provide direction to consultants and internal teams on environmental conditions, permitting, and agreement requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and lead the environmental and site development permitting and regulatory compliance efforts during construction.
- Collect and organize the data required for the permitting process and manage the work of the consultants.
- Ensure the permits are delivered on time and align with project success ensuring compliance and sustainability.
- Conduct environmental risk management through the project lifecycles from initiation till start up.
- Develop, summarize and communicate environmental obligations across multiple diverse teams.
- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in safe manner complying with EHS rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, or related field) preferably in Environmental Science.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering projects (permitting processes).
- In depth knowledge of Environmental and site development requirements.
- Deep understanding of Environmental Legislations both Ontario and Federal.
- Good understanding of industrial processes, gaseous & liquid emissions, and control measures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with complex data and make clear conclusions.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
